Shelter Assistance Program
Receiving a little can help A LOt!
Our Shelter Assistance Program is here to help families obtain and maintain stability and keep them from the throes of poverty. The barriers that families face to maintain stability is not an easy hill to climb by ones self. We have created a community that is here to help families from rolling back down the hill. The way our program works is to uplift families and catalyze change by providing financial support with life skills training, and access to a mentor or a life coach.
Financial aid assistance is provided only when funds are available, and all requirements are met. All financial payments are made directly on behalf of the participant. No funds are provided directly to the participant.
Assistance provided:
- Emergency rental or mortgage assistance
- Rental application fees
- Rental deposit assistance
- Utility payment assistance
Income Requirements:
All household income levels can apply. All assistance is based on available funding and different funding sources have different requirements. This means that assistance is available baste on funding availability.
Demonstrated need:
- Change in employment or income
- Late notice or notice to vacate
- Eviction notice
- Statement of need for rental application fees, with explanation of current living situation.
Verifiable:
- Proof of income
- Proof of employment or offer of employment
