At Grand Expectations, Inc., we believe that financial hardship should not stand in the way of educational success. Only 9% of students from low-income families earn a bachelor’s degree by their mid-20s—a statistic we are determined to change.
Our Grand Start Program is designed to remove the barriers that prevent underserved young adults from reaching their academic and career goals. We recognize that success isn’t just about tuition; it’s about stability, skills, and opportunity. That’s why we provide a holistic support system that includes financial assistance (when available), life skills training, and access to a dedicated mentor or life coach.
What We Provide
When funding is available and requirements are met, we offer direct financial assistance to support:

Note:
- All financial assistance is paid directly on behalf of program members—no funds are given directly to individuals.
- Assistance is available based on funding availability and not guaranteed.
Who Can Apply?
- There is no age limit to participate.
- Priority is given to young adults aged 17-26 and nontraditional single parents seeking educational and career advancement.
