Youth of all ages up to 12th grade benefit from our Grand Exposure Program. Eleven million children live in poverty, amongst whom 1 in 7 are of color. We strongly believe that in order to begin closing the opportunity gap there needs to be strategic and specific events placed in our youths’ lives, beginning with exposure to those things that are not readily available in underserved communities.
Partnering with school districts and community organizations, our Real World Trips & Beyond program offers a new way of challenging the minds of our future generations through safe, fun, educational trips, and experiences. The exposure on these trips positively impacts students by giving them a firsthand experience of places, events, and people that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to see. This helps to foster an optimistic view of their future and helps build the efficacy that they too can enjoy these experiences.
Using life skills trainings, Grand Expectations provides substance use prevention interventions to steer our youths away from drug use. We aim to educated them on the effects, and methods of dealing with peer pressures that encourage this behavior.
